Recently, I had the pleasure of being invited to the Cork Launch of Note Cosmetics. Note has already been launched in Europe and Asia, so following on from that success, they decided to launch to the Irish Market.
My first impression was that the products were really well packaged. Note Cosmetics have a seriously good price point ranging from €4.95 to €19.95 so for that range, I felt that they were packaged exceptionally well. They oozed quality on the surface. We were told over dinner that at the heart of the line are rich-pigmented shades in ultra fine milled powders that are blendable and that effortlessly come to life on the skin. The curated shade range allows the products to work for a wide variety of skin tones. Note Cosmetics were developed by expert European chemists and the formulas are infused with globally sourced botanical ingredients that enrich the quality of the cosmetics enabling them to offer additional skincare benefits, longer wear and rich textures.
The Note Cosmetics Collection include – liquid foundation, compact foundation, bronzers, blushers, pressed powder and highlighter, mascaras, pencil & liquid eye liners, concealers, eye shadows (singles and palettes), lipsticks, lip glosses and lip pencils.
On the surface, I was highly impressed by Note, so I was excited to try the products that I had been given. I haven’t had time to use everything yet as I have a jam packed schedule over these few weeks between work and cramming for my Law exams but what I did try – I loved. I was given the “Luminous Moisturising Foundation” and even though the colour was admittedly slightly too dark for my skin tone, the product itself was truly outstanding. Personally, I always wear the Estée Lauder Double Wear as I love good coverage and long lasting and enduring make up – well this definitely stacked up. It felt really beautiful on the skin and moisturising. It is definitely a foundation that I would recommend and I will go and get a shade lighter to try as honestly for €9.99 – you will not find a better foundation on the market.
I also tried the “Note Terracotta Powder” which I absolutely love. This powder that I used is in shade “Stardust” and it is a really fabulous highlighter – perfect for nights out. Again, this product is really moisturising so it last really well on the skin.
I am a complete sucker for blusher – I honestly believe that your make up cannot be complete without blusher and the Note blusher is a seriously great product. Actually one thing to note (pun intended) is that the products are so well packaged and presented that the blushers and powders, all come with mirror compacts – this I loved!! The other product that will remain in my make up bag is the Note BB Lip Corrector and also the Note Full Coverage Liquid Concealer.
I haven’t tried the lipstick yet but I am going to pick up a nice berry shade to give it a whirl over Christmas.
All in all, I would highly recommend this beautiful make up brand. The presentation of the product is beautiful and the product themselves really do stack up. So ladies – take note – this is the new brand to have on your Christmas wish list this year.
Note Cosmetics are available to purchase from Sam McCauley’s nationwide – you can also buy online here.
